This story from Above The Law caught our attention.  ATL reports that the GC for Google's parent company Alphabet is leaving the company at the end of this month with no severance package, in the wake of an investigation into romantic relationships the GC had with other Google employees.

Stories like this raise an interesting question — since many think that GCs should exemplify (as well as help inculcate) the highest ethical standards within their company, what happens when the GC's own conduct is called into question?

Our findings might just surprise you.

As a reminder, In The House conducted the first-ever survey regarding the role of in-house counsel in preventing, investigating and responding to sexual harassment in the workplace.  It is well worth the few minutes it takes to read.
